My Basic skin care routine

For quite a while I had been procrastinating a lot when it came to developing a good skincare routine.
A quick regime that I could easily keep up with and feel as if its not a big effort.
(Especially on those nights when you are absolutely shattered and going through a whole evening/morning ritual takes up a fair bit of time)

However, I managed to stick to my guns and build up a good routine for my skincare.
And here's how...

First of all, I needed to figure out my skin type and buy the appropriate skin care products to match.
This is important as the products you buy will be completely ineffective if they don't match-
I have combination skin and bought a random cleanser once without reading what
skin type it worked best for, and broke out in spots not long after using it. So check before you buy!
Here are a few of my favourites-

The Body Shop Vitamin e Cleanser, Toner and Exfoliator;

These three products have worked wonders for me as they don't dry your skin out and are designed specially for people with combination skin. To start I rinse my face with warm water, and apply a chocolate button size amount of the vitamin e -cleanser onto my face- rubbing it in gently to remove all make-up and dirt. After washing this off I get a cotton pad, wet it with the vitamin e -toner and wipe over my face to remove extra bits of make-up and left over cleanser.
I ex-foliate with vitamin e -exfoliator around once or twice a week to remove the dead skin and
reduce blackheads.
Next is the moisturiser...

Bliss Triple Oxygen+ C Energising Cream

I absolutely adore this moisturiser!
Its a very light facial cream so its not heavy on the skin and it provides the perfect amount of moisture making your skin look more awake, fresh and hydrated.
I have also noticed a huge change in the way my make-up looked
after using this product for just a week.
My foundation no longer looked cakey or dull -my skin was smoother and less oily!
This made my skin look flawless- especially after make-up was applied.
And it also smells amazing which is always a bonus!
Although it is pricey, I would definitely recommend it.

I apply this after cleansing and toning to rehydrate my skin, using only a small amount and rubbing it in to all areas of my face in a circular motion.

So that's my daily skin care routine! It's only simple and really easy to keep up.
I have noticed such a massive difference in the way my skin looks
with and without applying make-up.
I highly recommend starting up a little regime because it feels so rewarding in the long run.

Bye for now guys!

Thursday 12 September 2013

Hello.

Hey world, my name is Annabel, or belle for short -hence the blog title.

I just want to thank you first of all for having a nosy on my blog, it means a lot that you have any interest in my ramblings about beauty, fashion and life in general.
I thoroughly enjoy writing when it comes to sharing the things I love on my own personal, little space on the internet. I just hope you enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy writing them.

Beauty basically makes up my life with the amount of time I spend watching tutorials, reading blogs on new beauty finds and scanning Pinterest for fashion tips and DIY projects to get stuck into.
Its during this time I decided to jump in on the bandwagon and join the beauty bloggers!
I do enjoy a nice Sunday evening, all snuggled up with a brew,
reading through my favourite blogs...
So, I wanted to make my blog individual and useful but most of all
a FUN and EASY read!

I also love travelling around Britain's countryside, taking a breather and absorbing the stunning views.
Photography is a big passion of mine as you get to capture all those special little moments and share them with others.
Confession: I'm very nosy when it comes to other peoples pictures as it gives you a little glimpse as to what other peoples lives are like,
So sharing photos with you on my blog is a fun way of showing you
what I get up to and the things I enjoy! :)

Anyway, I do hope you are entertained by what I have to say and
find it somewhat useful!:)
Bye for now!
